Sealand Kihim Resort | Beach resort near Alibaug | Kihim (Raigad)

According to studies on brain imaging, being near water has a substantial correlation with the release of feel-good hormones like oxytocin and dopamine in the brain.

Kihim Beach, which is only 12 kilometers from Alibaug, is well-known for its birds and butterflies. There are water sports offered, depending on the climate. Beautiful birds, both resident and migratory, frequent the Kihim beach, and there are many there.

Kihim Beach and its environs offer a plethora of sightseeing opportunities.

SEALAND KIHIM RESORT EXPERIENCE:

Close to the beach, this is the only proper resort with amenities that provide a kid-friendly site. There are rabbit cages, bird cages, and a beautiful landscape around, just for entertainment within the site. While you can relax at the lawn area, you can look around at nature and still pass some time. We mainly picked up this resort out of no option because we wanted a child-friendly resort so our kid could have some good time playing as well.

There is also a small play park within. But they were not in good condition when we went this year. As it is a new resort and under progress, I believe that they will soon fix all these issues.

Evening time is a bit of a problem because there are a lot of mosquito issues. I’ve seen other resorts do the fumication around 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock once in the evening so the tourists, visitors, and guests can have a peaceful sleep. BUT HERE, NO SUCH THING WAS DONE. due to the site located deserted could be one reason why there are hell mosquitos.

The resort provided with mosquito nets and repellents so we were able to sleep. The food was good because the kitchen department is fully managed by the women who stay nearby.

The swimming pool was not clean when i checked in. They had installed filters to get it cleaned. So by evening, the pool looked completely clean, and people started playing inside. There was also a kids pool, and my daughter couldn’t contain the excitement. Unfortunately, this evening we couldn’t let her get inside the pool because the weather was chill at the time we went.

We thought of going inside the next morning, but again, there was this bachelor party going on, so the pool was occupied throughout the day. So although the pools were cleaned later, we couldn’t get in. There were also other families present. This is not a ‘only family’ resort, which can be problematic at times.

Through out our stay i loved the food. we also got some food customized for our needs. The boys were always ready to assist us no matter the time. There was TV withing the room with local channel so we were just watching some random shows. cartoons were available which was a different experience from youtube or disney channels.

The experience was amazing. The only problem at the site was mosquitos. The resort owner also helped us with arranging a more convenient room of our choice which was a great satisfaction.

KIHIM BEACH EXPERIENCE:

The beach was less than a 10-minute walk from our resort stay. On the way, you could take a walk and admire the simple but interesting landscape. There was a restaurant near the beach that served good food. There are also snacking options at the beach. We had maggi noodles, which is not unusual, but sitting on the beach watching the sunset and eating maggi noodles is a one-time experience. We also had tender coconut water, ice apple, sharbat, hot pakode, and there are other options available.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her beach play, as would any other child. There is a covered shed arrangement along the beach, so we were able to sit during the day as well. They also rent out chairs for ten rupees per hour, which was great. Because at places like Kerela Beach, sitting on a beachside chair costs 150 rupees per hour.

The evenings and nights felt like Goa. There was a crowd present, but it was peaceful. It was only families at the beach. It was enjoyable to watch people of various ages participate in various activities. I did know how time went by.

Sunsets are so hypnotizing that I can spend hours watching them. I am passionate about the universe, geography, and space science. So for me nature is an obsession. i am an avid nature lover. I excel at sitting under a shaded tree for hours doing nothing.

So, sometimes doing nothing and looking at the watch and realizing that it is only been 10 minutes is the best feeling ever. I have spent my life so far in the fast-paced city of Mumbai, and one thing I have always valued is nature and time. I yearn for it. So, even if it is a small town far from the city, I find opportunities to spend time and create beautiful memories with my daughter and husband. Mumbai not only keeps me and my husband on track, but it also keeps us busy with business and duty.

EXPLORING AROUND KIHIM BEACH :

Exploring Kihim Beach’s scenery is simple and typical of the country. Vegetable plantations line the road, and cows and goats move around, the smell of the Chulha (an Indian open fire stove), the coconut tree plantations were all giving a village vibe

1. The beach itself provides a clear view of the forts of Khanderi, making it an ideal location for taking pictures, particularly in the late afternoon.

2. Kihim Beach is also conveniently located at a short distance from the renowned Kolaba Fort.

3. In addition, well-known tourist destinations include the Birla Mandir, the Kanakeshwar Temple, and other ancient sites including the Jerusalem Gate and Angre Samadhi.

4. These locations are all easily accessible and within a short drive of Kihim.
Akshi Beach is another popular nearby destination for visitors to unwind.
