Make an American Supreme Burger like McDonald’s at home. Almost got a gray hair searching for this recipe and ingredients! Hahaa…
Here is the most awaited recipe and most of our favorite recent menu item—the American supreme burger. Although non-veg and veg are both available, I personally love the veg version only.
The reason is because I just cannot resist the aroma of boiled corn anywhere I find it, and the patty of this burger has two hero ingredients: corn and habanero sauce. Unlike other burgers, this one is seriously tasty, and if you haven’t tried it at McDonald’s so far, then it is definitely a must. It’s simply mouth-melting and soul-satisfying when you have it right at the cafe and feel hungry like you have been starving for days.
Sometimes for dinner a quick grab-and-go recipe can just soothe the soul at the end of a tiring day and make you feel proud about yourself when you manage to cook it yourself without stressing. Some of my most appreciated quick recipes by my friends and relatives are corn spinach sandwich, Italian pizza parcels, and homemade momos.
So the recipe goes like this:
For Patty:
Boiled corn, mashed potatoes, onion powder, garlic powder, pizza seasoning mix, white pepper, salt, chili flakes (the fresh ones), corn flour, and chopped cheese cubes used after being refrigerated well.
Bring it all together, mash well, roll a big ball-sized mixture, flatten it with your palm, and bring it to a patty shape. Place on a parchment paper and refrigerate until further steps.
For the slurry:
– Maida flour (all-purpose flour), cornmeal (the yellow flour), black pepper, corn flour, salt, and water.
– Prepare breadcrumbs by just adding the pieces of bread into the blender jar. Pulse blend it and keep it coarsely ground.
– Mix it only before you are about to dip and fry the patty. else the texture of slurry and its function will be lost.
– Now take the patty from the refrigerator and dip it in the slurry and powdered breadcrumbs. Repeat the step 1 more time. Refrigerate the patty again until it’s well set.
– Mostly around 30-45 minutes, you can fry it in medium flame and drain the excess oil.
For Habanero Sauce:
In a pan, heat butter, keep the flame low, add tomato ketchup, habanero sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, red chili powder, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, sugar, and mayonnaise, and bring everything together. Add a tablespoon of water to prevent it from drying on the pan. Transfer to a bowl immediately.
Now we construct the burger:
Take burger buns, especially the ones topped with sesame seeds. I have used store-bought burger buns from a premium bakery outlet at my local market. Spread butter and toast on the inner sides.
On the top side of the bun, add 2 tbsp of habanero sauce, round and thin sliced onion, thinly sliced jalapenos, a cheddar cheese slice, the fried patty, and the bottom bun and flip it around.
One of the easiest ways to construct the burger. Complement it with the French fries at every bite.
