Choosing the right mangoes for making the delicious milkshake is very important.

While all the mangoes are unique, nothing can beat the Alphonso mango flavour. Alphonso is the king among all the other mangoes. For making one of the world’s best alphonso mango milkshakes, we need precise selection of mangoes.

    1. Fully ripe, sweet alphonso mangoes are cut into large pieces. Do not cut it too close to the pit of the mango. Add some sugar and give it a churn in the blender.
    2. The churn has to be very coarse, leaving the chunks to be still bigger. so that while sipping the milkshake, you still get to eat the chunks in between. Or blend thoroughly and at last add some chopped mangoes separately from the top.
    3. Add 1 part of boiled chilled milk and 1/2 part of water. Cover the jar and just give one pulse in the blender. ratio for mangoes to milk to water is 6:1:1
    4. Open the lid and add a pinch of fresh green cardamom powder along with 2 teaspoons of rose water. Give it a pulse and transfer it to the glass. (This step is optional and skipping this also equally gives a good taste.)
    5. Serve with some ice cubes. The consistency need not be too thick. I prefer to keep it a bit loose so it is thick yet easy to swallow.

Beat the heat with an alphonso milkshake.

    • You can optionally add one scoop of mango or vanilla ice cream.
    • To make a fruit custard, replace the milkshake in place of the custard. It tastes soulful.
    • This can be used for boba milkshakes as well.
    • The same mixture can be used for making falooda.
