Ever wondered what if you could bake a jar full of cookies at home with your choice of color, toppings, and frosting?
These cookies can be used as a base for any flavour you want to try. In this article, I have shared how to quickly make butter cookies in no time. with only three over-the-counter ingredients.
Invited your kid’s friend? Throwing a small party? Want to gift your friend some homemade love? suits every single occasion, trust me. Every bite is mellow.
Method:
In a bowl, take 1 cup of butter and slightly melt it in the microwave or in a double boiler. Add 1 cup finely powdered sugar to this butter. With the help of a handheld whisk, just give a quick stir. Add a pinch of salt (if you are using unsalted butter). Take fresh vanilla extract. Add 2 cups of sifted all-purpose flour. Mix well to form it into a soft dough.
In a baking tray, make small-sized dough and place it 2-3 inches apart from each other. You can make it in any shape you want. Rub some melted butter around cookie cutter edges to get clean, sharp shapes. I just flatten it and give a slight impression with a fork.

For Frosting:
I prefer using buttercream frosting here in my cookies. Take two tablespoons of room-temperature butter. Add finely powdered sugar (4 tbsp) with a dash of vanilla extract. You can use any essence of your choice. Beat well until the butter is light and fluffy. spread in between the cookies, or you can simply enjoy it plain.
Storing:
You can easily store them for 3 days in an airtight container.
You can also keep the dough wrapped in cling foil and put it in the freezer. Bake them hot whenever you want. You can store it in the freezer for up to 5 days.
