Countryside resort by Meritas | Family resorts in Lonavala | Nangargaon
The top family-friendly destinations near Mumbai are Lonavala, Karjat, Alibaug, Kihim, Lavasa, Matheran, Mahabaleshwar, etc. Which you can travel between 2-5 hours or so. Some more places to explore as a vacation away from Mumbai can be Igatpuri, Nashik, Ratnagiri, Palghar, etc.
But if we are searching for a weekend getaway, then there is this Lonavala in its close proximity, which has also gotten quite busy and is fast developing now. These days going to Lonavala has also become like a hectic travel since most of the time the places are crowded there, busy traffic roads, etc.
But Lonavala is a place that keeps calling you for its slow life and beautiful scenic views from different parts of Lonavala. You would never feel enough to visit this place. In this article today, I have shared our experience with Countryside Meritas Resort, which is situated close to the Lonavala Highway exit. So if you are looking for resorts where you don’t wish to go too much inside of Lonavala and stay just close to the highway, then this is definitely a great resort with full-fledged amenities and all the necessities required for you to stay comfortable.

COUNTRYSIDE RESORT BY MERITAS
Accommodation.
Accommodation ranges from 3200 to 4000 per night, depending upon the season and availability. The rooms are pretty good. The only concern for us was the toilet falling right in front of the bed to us. Otherwise there was a beautiful view facing the resort that we got. The children park was very beautiful. The sit-out area and lawn areas were very well maintained.
Rooms like the classic, deluxe and superior categories are available. Room services are available. Wife, the hot water kettle is available. AC, TV, and a closet are provided in the rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with all toiletries and towels.
Site.
The site looks great at night due to the lighting arrangements. gives a feeling that meets the international standards. Facilities like a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and indoor and outdoor games are available and well maintained.
Restaurant.
The restaurant has a variety of cuisines, like Indian, South Indian, Italian, American, Chinese, etc. It’s better to sit in the restaurant and explore food during vacations. In-house dining is also available. In the morning they serve a buffet that’s inclusive of their package. We need to reach them at their mentioned timings, or else we may miss out on the specials that they serve in the morning.
Safety.
As per safety, the site is well secured with CCTV covering every angle. Fire safety site. There are smoke alarms and security alarms installed everywhere. So smoking is prohibited on this site and makes a plus point for the family-friendly travelers. There is also a safety deposit box provided in the resort accommodation where you can deposit your valuables while visiting.
Sightseeing.

- Bhushi Dam.
- Downtown Market.
- Narayani Dham temple.
- Celebrity wax museum.
These are the places that will keep children also engaged throughout the sightseeing. Otherwise, there is more to say, but children won’t like it and may end up getting annoyed, according to my experience.
