Our experience
So this is one of the beautiful resorts from Lonavala. This falls in a corner like a hidden gem on our way to Bhushi Dam. Almost all of us would have easily spotted this resort while taking a break on the Jalvayu Marg bridge.
We go on trips a lot because we love to travel, and now our little one loves it even more than we do. She says that travel is the best part of her life. “Amma, I just can’t wait for another vacation,” she says to me a lot after we’ve just gotten back from one.
Same as what I have explained in my previous other resort stays in Lonavala, like Casa Amora resort, Countryside by Meritas, Crystal Meritas, and Ovi’s Holiday resort, I repeat that since I travel with my young child, I will first verify the security, safety, hygiene, food quality and quality of the ‘bed,’ especially since I travel with a hyperallergic child.
So every time my husband and I are sitting down to finalize an accommodation, we make sure the room is spacious enough for our daughter to walk around and play. This also allows us to spread around and sit in different directions while we are quiet. So accordingly, the room was quite spacious. The windowsill bed was the favorite spot for my daughter in the room I chose.
About the Rooms at Misty Meadows Resort
The rooms at Misty Meadows Resort in Lonavala are designed to offer a comfortable and relaxing stay amidst nature. The resort offers multiple room categories, including Standard, Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and Premier Rooms and spacious Family / Luxury Suites, making it suitable for couples as well as families.
What I liked most was that many rooms come with private balconies or patio areas where you can enjoy the fresh Lonavala breeze and peaceful greenery views. The rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with essentials like Wi-Fi, a television, a mini fridge, a tea/coffee maker, a safe locker, and attached modern bathrooms. We also had the choice of a private parking space, which we used to park our car right on our property.
For families, the suite rooms are especially convenient, as they include interconnected bedrooms and a living area, giving enough space for everyone to stay comfortably together. Some luxury suites also feature Jacuzzi and steam facilities, which adds a premium touch to the experience.
Overall, the rooms feel practical, spacious, and ideal for a relaxing weekend getaway with family.
As a family traveler, I appreciated that the rooms were spacious enough for kids to move around comfortably while still feeling cozy and peaceful for parents.
Food
Food was one of the pleasant highlights of our stay at Misty Meadows Resort. The in-house restaurant made everything convenient, especially while traveling with family. From a satisfying breakfast spread to a relaxing dinner after a day of exploring Lonavala, the dining experience felt easy, comfortable, and stress-free. With a variety of options available, it suited different tastes and added to the overall enjoyment of our getaway.
The food was excellent during our stay, especially the Indian cuisine, which we truly enjoyed. In fact, we personally requested that our appreciation be conveyed to the chef, as his culinary skills were genuinely impressive. Every Indian dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared.
The Chinese cuisine, while tasty, did not suit us as well and unfortunately caused considerable gastritis and bloating. It felt like the cooking style may have differed in this section, and the experience in preparing Chinese dishes was not as refined as the Indian cuisine’s. All the food on the menu was at an average price range only that was convincing and pocket-friendly.
Amenities
Spa Experience
The spa experience at the resort was average and did not fully meet expectations. While the ambience was pleasant and the overall setup had potential, the service quality could have been better. The treatment felt decent but lacked the finesse and relaxation one would expect from a premium resort spa. With some improvement in technique, attention to detail, and overall execution, the experience could be much more satisfying and worthwhile.
Resort Ambience & Surroundings
One of the most beautiful aspects of our stay at Misty Meadows Resort was its peaceful ambience and natural surroundings. Surrounded by lush greenery and the refreshing charm of Lonavala, the resort offered a calm escape from city life. The misty mornings, pleasant breeze, and soothing sounds of birds created a truly relaxing atmosphere. The property felt serene and well-connected to nature, making it an ideal place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy quality time with family. One side has a view of the lake, and the other side has a view of the mountains that is even more relaxing to see when it rains.

Swimming Pool & Amenities
The resort offers a pleasant range of amenities that added to our overall stay experience. One of the highlights was the swimming pool, which was uniquely surrounded by mist-generating pipeline features that released cool mist at intervals. This creative touch truly complemented the name Misty Meadows and gave the area a refreshing, scenic vibe similar to that of destinations like Coorg.
There was also an indoor play area, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed, making it a nice addition for families traveling with children. While the property did not have a dedicated garden space, having one would certainly have enhanced the outdoor experience further. There was no bonfire setup during our stay, but the rooftop lake-view restaurant made up for it with a lovely dining atmosphere and beautiful views.
Family-Friendly Experience
Overall, our stay at Misty Meadows Resort was very pleasant and family-friendly. The staff members were approachable, helpful, and easy to communicate with, which made the experience more comfortable. The food was good and convenient, especially when traveling with family. One of the biggest advantages was the spacious property and rooms, which gave everyone enough comfort and room to relax. It felt like a nice place for a peaceful family getaway.
Location Advantage in Lonavala
Misty Meadows Resort enjoys a convenient location in Lonavala, making it easy to reach from both Mumbai and Pune for a short getaway. The resort is well connected by road and is at a comfortable distance from the main market and railway station. You can reach Bhushi Dam also in like 15-20 mins from here and the downtown center as well.
