Introduction

After studying many resorts around Pawna Lake, we decided to experience Samadhan Resort this time. Located beside the peaceful lake surroundings, this place is more for people who want a calm stay away from crowded commercial resorts.

From scenic lake views to simple village-side vibes, here’s my honest experience staying at Samadhan Resort Pawna Lake.

How to reach

Samadhan Resort is located near the peaceful surroundings of Pawna Lake close to Lonavala, making it a relaxing weekend getaway from Mumbai and Pune. The resort is around 25 to 30 km from Lonavala, approximately 65 to 70 km from Pune and nearly 120 km from Mumbai depending on the route taken. The drive towards the resort passes through greenery, village roads and scenic lakeside views, which itself makes the journey enjoyable, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons. The resort can be reached easily by private car, and the nearest major railway station is Lonavala Railway Station. From there, visitors can hire a cab or local transport to comfortably reach the Pawna Lake area.

Location & First Impression

Samadhan Resort is located near Pawna Lake around the Lonavala side. The road journey itself feels beautiful, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons.

Unlike luxury-style resorts, this place gives more of a natural and peaceful atmosphere. The greenery, open air and quiet surroundings instantly make the stay feel relaxing.

Rooms & Stay Experience

The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable for a short family stay. One thing I personally liked was the peaceful environment outside the rooms. Only a bed and one side table were provided inside the room. Outside the room under the porch was a chair and table facing the lake. A basic toiletries supply was provided.

In the cottage, there are extra tables provided for storing luggage. AC is provided in all cottages.

If you are someone expecting ultra luxury interiors, this may not be that type of property. But if your focus is relaxation, nature and spending quality time with family or friends, the stay feels enjoyable.

Pawna Lake View & Atmosphere

The best part of this resort is definitely the lake-side atmosphere. Early morning and evening time felt the most beautiful here. The cool breeze, calm water view and less crowded surroundings made the experience feel refreshing.

This is the kind of place where you enjoy slowing down rather than rushing through activities. We spent some peaceful time boating here and later sat quietly by the lakeshore while my daughter played around collecting little treasures from nature. She found a dull green rock that looked just like an emerald stone, and that small memory now sits in our balcony beside one of our flower pots as a sweet souvenir from the trip.

Food Experience

The food served was simple homestyle food with basic options available. Some food was tasty and some not so much, as it’s prepared by a local homecook. You can’t expect a restaurant-level taste or quality, but mostly people come here, as there is a huge parking area. This place’s restaurant has got an amazing view.

I personally prefer places that use balanced spices and decent quality oil for cooking. We had ordered a simple meal like chapati, curry and a sandwich. Varieties of ice cream were available, so that made us happy.

Tea near the lake-side atmosphere definitely felt more enjoyable. We parked our car under a tree shade and were enjoying the view with a cup of tea.

My Overall Experience

Overall, Samadhan Resort felt like a peaceful weekend getaway near Pawna Lake.

This place may not be for people searching for a luxury resort experience, but for nature lovers and families wanting a calm break from city routine, the atmosphere feels relaxing and refreshing.

If you enjoy simple lakeside stays, peaceful views and quiet surroundings, this resort can be a good option for a short Pawna trip.

Places like these feel more enjoyable when explored as a family rather than in large groups, especially if you are someone who looks for calm and peaceful surroundings during a getaway. Group trips often turn noisy with loud music and sound systems, but this time we wanted a completely different experience. We visited on a quiet weekend just to slow down and truly enjoy the sound of the lake water, birds chirping around us, the peaceful night atmosphere, and the fresh air that felt genuinely refreshing.
